Peru State provides free personal counseling services to all students. Counseling can help with making decisions, improving personal skills, developing increased confidence, overcoming blocks to personal effectiveness, and acquiring a keener awareness and appreciation of one's own needs and the needs of others. The counseling process may involve exploring and expressing feelings, examining beliefs and ways of thinking, reflecting on patterns of behavior, and working toward making healthy changes.

The Honors Program at Peru State College is a college-wide academic program promoting advanced study and scholarship for students with strong records of academic achievement. The program provides its students with opportunities for in- depth study not generally available in other courses through small class sizes, frequent interaction within the program, a unique curriculum, and mentored scholarly and research opportunities. The goal of the program is to enhance the intellectual capabilities and broaden the experience of the College's intellectual leaders.

Peru Theatre Company is a 4050 academic club that is open to everyone. Our primary goal is to work together to create original and established works of theatre for the campus community and the community at large. PTC members collaborate on productions as actors, directors, playwrights, designers, stage managers, dramaturgs and more. Members have the opportunity to see theatre across the region, to work with other campus clubs and to participate in workshops with guest theatre artists from around the globe. Members attend The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival each January, participate in the Research & Creativity Expo in the Spring and find their Peru State family in the theatre.

The CATS Tutoring program is committed to providing no cost, quality academic support to all Peru State College students. The CATS Tutoring program provides in-person and online subject-based tutoring and writing assistance. The trained peer-tutoring staff seeks to foster a collaborative environment, improving course retention and long term student success.

Located in the Center for Achievement and Transition Services, CATS Tutoring provides in-person and online peer-tutoring assistance free of charge for all enrolled students. Peer Tutors are selected based on faculty recommendation and high grade point averages, offering assistance in courses previously completed with a B grade or higher.
